Many people dream of being able to play guitar but never quite get around to it, or are put off by early attempts at trying to learn by themselves. But it's never too late! With a professional teacher to coach and motivate you, progress is quicker and you'll soon be able to put together chords and play songs.
Where can you learn guitar in Geelong?
If you are interested in learning to play guitar, or taking your guitar skills to another level, Take5 offers lessons in acoustic and electric guitar, from absolute beginners to advanced players looking to improve their technique or hone their performance and songwriting skills.
In your lessons you will play the music you love and learn by playing together with your teacher. You'll learn chords, scales and strumming techniques as you play songs, and progress naturally through reading chord, tab and musical notation. Lessons can cover different styles of music depending on your interest, but will also explore other styles and techniques to make sure you become a rounded musician. If you're interested in singing as well, you'll be able to sing and develop your vocal technique as you learn your instrument.
Theory is an integral part of learning music and becoming a musician, but Pino teaches theory by integrating it with playing your guitar. You'll practice your scales by playing lead-breaks in songs. Key concepts will be gradually introduced as you learn to keep it interesting and relevant.
If you are already experienced on guitar, we will assess your skills and work on strengthening any gaps in your technique and theory. You'll be encouraged and challenged to sharpen your technique, broaden your skills and notation reading, and also to develop your musicianship and creativity as a guitarist. We can also help you develop performance and songwriting skills.
